2017 Hyundai Sonata: Levels of Excellence

The 2017 Hyundai Sonata establishes itself as one of the better family sedans on the market. Due to its high marks in safety and fuel economy, and expert comfort and performance, the all-new Sonata has other sedans in its class a little jealous.

The 2017 Hyundai Sonata comes in four trim levels—the SE, Eco, Sport, and Limited. The SE starts at $21,950 and comes with a slew of impressive features. It has a 4-cylinder engine, 16-inch alloy wheels, a rearview camera, automatic headlight control, dual-power heated side mirrors, and a driver’s blind-spot mirror. Did I mention these come standard? And these aren’t all. Inside the roomy cabin drivers will be happy to find a 7-inch color audio with Apple Car Play and Android Auto. The SE also offers the Bluetooth hands-free phone system, solar control glass, and chrome accent window trim.

The Eco edition is the next step up and begins at $23,125. It has a 1.6-liter, Turbo GDI with 178 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque, and comes with Hyundai’s 7-speed EcoShift, Dual Clutch Transmission with Shiftronic—an impressive transmission system providing smother, efficient driving with more power than you usually see in a family sedan. In addition to these impressive features, the Eco level also comes with the same standard options as the SE.

Next in line is the 2017 Hyundai Sonata Sport, starting at $23,400. Here we get a 185 horsepower, 2.4-liter GDI 4-cylinder engine. A sporty looking front grille and bumper fascia with side rocker panels and chrome molding. A chrome-tipped dual exhaust. Carbon fiber appearance interior trim with leatherette interior door panel inserts, and instrument cluster hood stitching. Also included are the standard features found in the previous two levels.

The top, Limited, level is offered at $27,150. The Limited comes with all the bells and whistles: Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Lane Assist; power tilt-and-slide sunroof; leather, heated seats; LED taillights; Proximity Key entry with push button start; woodgrain interior trim; and dual automatic climate control. And these are only a few of the upgrades for the Limited. At this level, luxury abounds.

Now that you know more about the trim levels, it’s time to come in to Savannah Hyundai for a test drive. See you soon.
